Hire Equipment Terms and Agreement

We honour your hire towards your purchase. This means if you decide to keep, the hire fee paid is returned back to you. By hiring equipment from Sleepco, you agree to our terms and conditions as described below. A full or reduced bond is required, and any damages or missing items will be deducted. Failure to return equipment within 14 days of the hire return date may result in assumption of purchase and invoicing for the full amount. Please read our full hire agreement for details.

HIRE AGREEMENT - Terms of Hire

This Hire Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into by and between Sleepco (the "Company") and the undersigned hirer (the "Hirer"), collectively referred to as the "Parties."

Equipment

The Company agrees to hire to the Hirer the following equipment:

  • CPAP machines
  • CPAP masks
  • CPAP batteries
  • Other Accessories

Hire Period

The hire period shall commence on the date agreed upon by the Parties and shall continue until the agreed return date, unless extended or terminated in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

Bond and Payment

Full Bond Option

The Hirer shall pay a full bond amount equivalent to the total purchase price of the equipment.

If the Hirer decides to purchase (keep) the equipment, the paid hire amount will be honoured towards the total purchase price, and therefore hire amount paid refunded to the hirer, provided the full bond amount has been paid.

Reduced Bond Option

The Hirer may opt to pay a reduced bond of $500. The Hirer must provide two current forms of proof of address* with hirers name, home address and date of document visible. The hirer must also provide a scan or photo of a New Zealand driver's licence, New Zealand passport, or other official government form of ID.

Paying Via Credit Card or Bank Transfer

A surcharge of up to 2.7% applies for Credit Card bond payments.

Upon bond return, credit card vendor surcharge fees will be deducted from your bond.
No fees apply by paying your bond via bank transfer. If you wish to pay your bond via bank transfer, please deposit the full or reduced bond amount into:

Extension of Hire Period

The Hirer may extend the hire period by notifying the Company at least 3 days prior to the hire end date. The Company may deduct the extended hire cost from the bond for the Hirer's convenience.

Damages and Loss

Full Bond Option

If the equipment is returned in fair working order, with no functional damage or serious cosmetic damage, the bond will be returned in full.
Minor wear and tear is expected and will not impact the bond return amount.
If the equipment or any parts are missing, the replacement cost will be deducted from the bond.

Reduced Bond Option

The partial bond acts as cover for any damage or losses not exceeding the partial bond amount of $500. If damages exceed the partial bond of $500, the Hirer will be invoiced for the cost of repair or replacement. Failing to return any hired equipment after 14 days of the hire return date without contact or adequate explanation or extension, the Hirer assumes to have purchased the hired equipment and will be invoiced for the equipment. If the invoice remains unpaid 28 days after the hire return date, a third-party debt collector will be engaged to recover the outstanding amount (total cost minus the bond paid).

Return of Equipment

The Hirer agrees to return the equipment by the agreed return date. Failure to return the equipment within 20 days without any contact or explanation will result in the assumption of purchase by the Hirer and subsequent invoicing for the full amount as advertised on sleepco.nz.

Failure to return equipment

In the event of non-return of equipment and upon full bond payment, the hirer is not obligated to return the equipment. Instead, the hire agreement will transition into a purchase agreement.
In the event of partial bond payment, if the equipment is not returned within 14 days after the agreed return date, the hirer is legally required to complete the purchase of the hired items at their advertised cost on www.sleepco.nz. Sleepco reserves the right to engage a debt collection service to recover the costs.

Agreement to Terms

By purchasing this service, the Hirer acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth herein. The Hirer understands that any damages or missing items will be deducted from the bond. The Hirer acknowledges that by paying a partial bond, The Hirer assumes a full purchase of the goods if not returned within 14 days of the hire return date, and thus will be liable for any outstanding balance.

  • Show full name of hirer
  • Be dated within 2 months of required hire start date or date of hire purchase and partial bond placement
