ResMed Lumis 100 ST BiPAP/VPAP

Overview The Lumis 100 ST is indicated to provide non-invasive ventilation for patients weighing more than 13 kg with respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). It is intended for home and hospital use.

A specialist prescription is recommended to purchase a BiPAP machine. This is because a BiPAP titration study and sleep test results are required to configure the machine according to your condition and respiratory needs. If you do not have sleep test results but still wish to purchase a BiPAP machine, it will be sent to you in a factory state, and you will need to configure the device. We can only offer limited support with BiPAP configuration unless provided with polysomnographic sleep test data or previous BiPAP machine settings.

For use with:

  1. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  2. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
  3. Central Sleep Apnea (CSA)
  4. Complex Sleep Apnea Syndrome
  5. Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS)
  6. Neuromuscular Disease
  7. Restrictive Thoracic Disorders

These conditions often involve compromised respiratory function, and the Lumis 100 ST provides necessary ventilatory assistance to ensure improved breathing and oxygenation at night.

Contraindications: The ResMed Lumis 100 ST should not be used by individuals with the following conditions unless directed by a physician:

  1. Severe Bullous Lung Disease
  2. Pneumothorax or Pneumomediastinum
  3. Pathologically Low Blood Pressure
  4. Dehydration
  5. Patients with unstable respiratory failure

Those with interface intolerance, upper airway obstruction, or any significant central neurological impairments should also consult their healthcare provider before using this device. For further reference, please consult the specific product documentation or a medical professional to ensure that it is the appropriate solution for your needs.
