Flying with Your Battery
Lithium-ion batteries are regulated for air travel under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Here's what you need to know:
Under 100Wh: Generally permitted in carry-on without special approval
100Wh – 160Wh: Carry-on only, airline approval required before travel
Over 160Wh: Prohibited on passenger aircraft
All batteries must travel in carry-on luggage – never in checked bags
Battery capacity (Wh) is listed in the product details for each battery option. You must declare the battery to your airline as medical equipment before flying.
⚠️ Important: It is your responsibility to confirm your airline's battery policies and obtain any required approvals for every flight on your itinerary (including connecting flights and return legs). Policies vary between airlines. If your airline refuses the battery, no refund will be issued for the battery hire. Full terms are outlined in our Hire Agreement.
We recommend contacting your airline at least 48 hours before departure to confirm their requirements for travelling with lithium-ion batteries for medical equipment.
